At Sunflowers Preschools, we are proud to offer VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) and School Readiness programs to support early childhood education and prepare children for success in school and beyond. These programs offer numerous benefits for children, especially those from income-eligible families, and serve as crucial stepping stones to lifelong learning.
Our School Readiness programs are specifically designed to help children prepare for school, particularly those from income-eligible families. These programs serve as a preventive measure for children at risk of future school failure. Priority for participation is given to children whose parents are economically disadvantaged, those determined to be at risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation, and children with special needs.
Pre-K not only enhances what children learn at home but also instills a lifelong love of learning.
The most important growth and development in the brain occur by the age of five.
High-quality early childhood education programs enhance language skills, school-readiness test scores, social skills, and behavior. Children participating in these programs are better prepared for Kindergarten, especially in pre-reading, pre-math, and social skills.
The early years are the learning years, and structured early learning fosters attentiveness, direction-following, and other abilities for later success in school and life.
